Syndal Ortman, RN, DNP, FNP-BC
Syndal is a Nurse Practitioner in the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Hennepin County Medical Center. She earned a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree at the College of St. Catherine in 2007 and worked as a chemotherapy certified nurse before receiving her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota in 2012. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner and a member of the Oncology Nursing Society, Minnesota Society of Clinical Oncology, Minnesota Nurse Practitioners, and the Minnesota APRN coalition.
Syndal's philosophy of care is that a care plan is successful when the patient feels empowered to take an active role in their health and help to make the decisions that will be the best for them and their family. Holistic health care and addressing both physical and emotional issues is of special interest to her.
Syndal runs the Survivorship clinic and also performs bone marrow biopsies at the cancer center.
