Dr. Danielle Potokar has been a Senior Clinical Psychologist at HCMC since 2010. She provides individual psychotherapy two days per week in the Adult Psychiatry clinic. Her therapeutic approach is integrative, including use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapies. Her clinical interests include treating serious and persistent mental illness, anxiety disorders, co-occurring disorders and adjustment to medical illness (e.g. Huntington’s Disease).

Dr. Potokar received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Bowling Green State University in 2008. Dr. Potokar completed her predoctoral internship at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC), specializing in serious and persistent mental illness, PTSD, and geriatrics. In addition to providing patient care, Dr. Potokar is the Integrated Treatment Coordinator for Inpatient Psychiatry, assisting and guiding all disciplines in Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment and Illness Management and Recovery.
