Bernadette Kim Quadling, MBBCH
Commitment to Patient-Centered Care
"I was drawn to the field of geriatrics early on by my grandfather who inspired in me my love of older people. I strive to improve the many different interconnecting medical problems and to help the elderly maintain independence. I think of my profession as a vocation; a calling to do my best for the patient and their family."
Dr. Quadling is originally from South Africa. She completed her undergraduate degree and her medical degree, MBBCH, which is the equivalent to an MD degree awarded by American medical schools, at the University of Witwatersrand. She also received her internal medicine and rheumatology training at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. She relocated to Minnesota and completed her internal medicine residency and geriatric fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. She has a special interest in the care of the elderly, dementia, memory problems, arthritis, osteoporosis, depression and diabetes.

"I am originally from South Africa, but Minnesota is my home; I love being here. I like to do artistic and creative things such as photography, painting, and drawing and love being out in nature. I enjoy music, especially classical music and reading, best done at the same time."
