Dr. Van Camp received an undergraduate degree from St. Louis University in biology and minor in mathematical computer science then MD degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. His training in general surgery and surgical critical care was at the University of Michigan. He completed his thoracic surgery fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia. He has been in practice in the Minneapolis area since 1997. He is board certified in general surgery, surgical critical care, and Thoracic Surgery. His special interests include coronary artery disease, bypass surgery, valvular heart disease, mitral valve repair, aortic dissection and aneurysm repair, minimally invasive valve surgery and coronary bypass.
