Meghan Mary Walsh, MD

Hospital Medicine

Dr. Walsh earned her medical degree in 2001 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Masters in Public Health at Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health in 1997. She completed her residency training in internal medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center in 2004, followed by a Chief Residency before joining the Hennepin County Medical Center Internal Medicine staff in 2005. Dr. Walsh is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and works as a cardiac hospitalist. Dr. Walsh has served as the Program Director of the Transitional Residency Program since 2008.

Dr. Walsh was appointed the Chief Academic Officer and Associate Medical Director at Hennepin County Medical Center in 2012 . In this role, she oversees all of the undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs within the Office of the Medical Director.

In July 2014, Dr. Walsh joined the Executive Leadership Team at Hennepin County Medical Center.
