Commitment to Patient-Centered Care

"I believe it is not only important to be thorough and expert in understanding the disease a patient has, but to be just as well atuned to understanding the person who has a disease. I am committed to using this approach to help each individual patient integrate information and choices about health into personal life goals, and to helping other providers through education and teaching to disseminate this perspective on caring for patients throughout our hospital."

Personal

"My family and I enjoy the four different and beautiful seasons outdoors in Minnesota. We forage for mushrooms, hike to watch birds and other wildlife, and enjoy cultivating a garden with medicinal and toxic plants. I like to sing and have a particular interest in the art and science of food and drink. We also play disc golf, skate, and are fans of a variety of sports."
