Clinical Expertise

Liza is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who specializes in the treatment of children and young adults from birth to age 21 with a focus on transitional medicine from adolescent to adult health. She has an advanced degree in Social work and Spanish linguistics from Augsburg College. She earned a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing at the College of St. Catherine and worked in many nursing departments at Hennepin County Medical Center for 15 years before receiving her Masters of Science degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from St. Catherine University in 2013. Prior to her nursing experience, Liza worked as a social worker and a Spanish interpreter for many years, working primarily with immigrant families and under-served communities.
