Sandra Shallcross, PhD, LP


Dr. Sandra Shallcross received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 2013. She completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center, where she specialized in treatments for PTSD and other trauma-related concerns.

Her therapeutic approach integrates elements of Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Other clinical interests include working with survivors of sexual trauma, treatment of anxiety, mood disorders and insomnia, women's mental health, and working with couples and families. She provides psychotherapy services in the Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic. She also practices in the Hennepin Women's Mental Health Program and the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center.
