Amy Garrigues, DPT
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Dr. Garrigues graduated from Simmons College, Boston, MA with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Following graduation, she practiced for two years in Maine, treating sports-related injuries in teens and adults. In 2006, Dr. Garrigues returned to Minnesota, where her clinic focus shifted to patients suffering from low back and neck pain. While at this practice, she completed a clinical specialty in Orthopedics (OCS) in 2007, and a fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy through Regis University in 2009. She began working in the outpatient physical therapy department at HCMC in November of 2012.
While Dr. Garrigues' interests include manual therapy for musculoskeletal injuries in patients of all ages and abilities, one of her specialties is treatment of patients following concussion or mild traumatic brain injury. She has worked with many post-concussion patients, including professional athletes and high school students and is actively involved in the Traumatic Brain Injury program at HCMC.
Dr. Garrigues has lectured at local and national conferences regarding the evaluation and treatment of TBI patients.
