Jan Tyson Roberts, PhD, LP


Dr. Tyson Roberts is a Clinical Psychologist in the Medicine and Adult Psychiatry Departments at Hennepin County Medical Center. She specializes in individual therapy of adults with chronic medical as well as mental health diagnoses. She received her Pre-Doctoral training at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC where she was an integral part of the Transplant Center performing psychological evaluations for kidney and liver transplant recipients and kidney donors. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Fordham University in New York and spent several years in Medical and Mental Health Services at the Central Detention Facility in Washington, DC.

Dr. Tyson Roberts enjoys working within interdisciplinary teams in hospitals and is particularly interested in ensuring the provision of culturally competent care to the many patients that Hennepin County Medical Center serves.
