Dr. Adeya Richmond has been a Senior Clinical Psychologist at HCMC since 2011. She provides psychotherapy and consultation services to adults through the Conservative Management Center in the Downtown Medicine Clinic as well as psychotherapy services to adults in the Adult Psychiatry Therapy Clinic. She also practices in the Hennepin Women's Mental Health Program. She provides psychological consultation to adult inpatients throughout the hospital. In these roles, she supervises psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows. Her theoretical orientation is integrative, including cognitive behavioral therapy and interpersonal process.

Her clinical interests include pain management, integrated behavioral healthcare, working with survivors of interpersonal trauma, and mood symptoms. Her research interests include parenting and women’s mental health and cross-cultural psychology throughout the lifespan.

Dr. Richmond received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Northern Illinois University in 2010 and completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral training at Hennepin County Medical Center.
