Maria Luisa Ramirez, PhD, LP
Dr. Ramirez is a psychologist who enjoys working with children, adolescents and their families. She strives to promote positive relationships, self understanding and self empowerment for everyone. She works with clients who have a wide range of concerns including attachment issues, depression, anxiety, acculturation difficulties, and trauma due to abuse. She incorporates behavioral and cognitive behavioral strategies in her work.
In addition, she has studied hypnosis, meditation and MBSR as they apply to treating a variety of conditions. In 1997 she graduated from the Child Development & Clinical Psychology program at the University of Minnesota where she studied with Dr. Alan Sroufe and Dr. Ann Masten on longitudinal projects involving attachment and resilience in children.
