Research and Innovation
Since 1952, The Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation (MMRF) has provided a home where physicians at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) can study diseases they see in their patients and develop new treatments to improve their care.
Today, over 200 practicing physicians and medical professionals actively investigate the causes and treatments of disease. Insights provided by their research look to lessen the impact of today’s health problems including: health services, acute care/trauma, addiction and infectious disease (HIV/AIDS).
More information about the work being done at the MMRF can be found on our Research Programs page on mmrf.org.
From the discovery of antibiotics to the development of vaccines and medicines, breakthroughs from medical research have made it possible for us all to enjoy healthier, longer lives. Your support can help us pursue the unsolved health issues that our community continues to face. Please donate today!
