Emergency Medicine Education: Paramedic Program
HCMC Paramedic Program Director
The Hennepin EMS Education/Ridgewater College Paramedic program started in March of 2007, as a partnership between Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota and Hennepin EMS Education in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
There are three sites where the program is offered - at Hennepin EMS Education in Minneapolis and the Willmar and Hutchinson campuses of Ridgewater College.
The Paramedic classes start Summer Session – usually late May or early June - meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-10 pm and approximately one Saturday a month from 8-5. There is also extensive hospital based clinical time and field internship ride time on ambulances in addition to the classroom time. This is not a part-time program.
General education classes are offered at a variety of days/times depending on where you take them. Learn more about the requirements for the two-year diploma option.
Information regarding the 2015-2016 Paramedic Program, starting Summer Semester 2015, will be available as soon as possible.
All admissions and registration for classes are done through Ridgewater College. If you have questions, please contact Sally Kerfeld, Director of Admissions at firstname.lastname@example.org or 1-800-722-1151.
Registration is on a first come, first served basis. All the admissions requirements must be met prior to being given a slot in the class.
