About Our Program

Pediatric Dentistry Residency Program Highlights Graphic

HCMC is a mission driven hospital, caring for a diverse and underserved patient population. The Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Residency program emphasizes clinical skills in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment where education takes top priority. Our residents develop advanced skills, learn the latest technology and procedures from dedicated faculty, and work directly with a diverse patient population in one of the region’s largest and busiest healthcare systems.

The 2 year hospital based Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry program combines clinical training and case based learning with a well-rounded evidence based didactic curriculum. The faculty includes board certified dental and medical specialists from Hennepin County Medical Center, Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare and the University of Minnesota. The program is dedicated to the preparation of board-certified pediatric dentists who will serve children and families in their communities using patient-centered care and will be effective leaders and dentists at local, regional and national levels. Serving this diverse population allows residents to grow in confidence and compassion, enabling them to become champions for community health.
