Whittier Clinic/HCMC is committed to you, our community, and empowering YOU with skills and tools to manage your pain, along with your general well-being. This program is being designed to give participants the most up-to date information from research to help you "Tame Your Pain" as much as possible.

In the information / first visit session we will discuss the neuroscience of pain perception. At each visit we will do some focused teaching, Mind–Body practices, share experiences and lessons learned, have a healthy snack and set and review individual intentions or goals.

Insurance: These medical appointments will typically be covered by Medical Assistance plans, HCMC employee insurance, and Hennepin County employee insurance. Co-pays and deductibles apply.

Tame Your Pain Group Visits

Tuesdays, October 4, 2017 – November 7, 2017
1:15PM – 3:15PM (please arrive 15 minutes early to check in)

  • October 4: Information Session / Neuroscience of pain
  • October 10: Shifting Inflammation: Food choices and nutrition
  • October 17: Calming stress (physical and emotional) to ease pain
  • October 24: Movement with the pain
  • October 31: Sleep and pain
  • November 7: Connection with others and easing pain
