Helping to ensure a safe and healthy trip for you and your family

The International Travel Medicine Clinic at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) provides a full range of services to prepare you for your international travel. This includes a detailed assessment of your trip and travel needs, extensive counseling about avoiding potential risks while traveling, and administration of vaccines you will need for your international travel. We will also prescribe any medications you will need for your international travel.

Our clinical staff will provide you with any information related to outbreaks or health concerns in the areas you will be traveling.

We provide care for patients of all ages, and can provide travel medicine services for entire families who are traveling together.

The International Travel Medicine Clinic at HCMC will be providing the Stamaril yellow fever vaccine during the US manufactured vaccine shortage. More information about the shortage can be found on the CDC website. All travelers who need to receive Stamaril will need a formal visit in the travel clinic. Appointments can be made at 612-873-6963.

About our clinics: This is a hospital-based clinic owned by Hennepin County Medical Center. Many insurance plans pay for health care services provided in a hospital-based clinic differently than those provided in a doctor’s office. Your insurance may require that you meet your annual deductible and/or require that you pay a percentage of the bill rather than just an office visit co-payment. You should check with your insurance company if you have any questions. Read our FAQs about hospital-based clinics to learn more.
