One in three adults in the U.S. is living with some form of cardiovascular disease, according to the American Heart Association. The Hennepin Heart Center provides comprehensive care for your heart by specialists in all areas of cardiovascular medicine. We have been delivering patient–centered, high quality cardiovascular care to all of our patients for more than forty years. Today at the Hennepin Heart Center, we care for common cardiovascular problems such as blocked arteries and abnormal rhythms and we evaluate and manage complex heart and arterial disease.
Located in a premiere Level I Trauma Center, teaching and research facility, the Hennepin Heart Center offers patients access to the latest innovations in cardiac care and clinical therapies. Patients who need of intensive monitoring or follow up after a procedure stay in our inpatient unit and cardiac rehab center, located a near the clinic.
Arrhythmia Management Program
Our Arrhythmia Management Program involves all aspects of current diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. These include drug therapy, electrophysiologic testing, pacemakers, defibrillators, and radiofrequency ablation.
Cardiac Cath Lab
The Cardiac Cath Lab features state-of-the-art technology and treatment for heart disease.
Cardiovascular Rehabilitation offers individualized, comprehensive care and follow up care to the cardiovascular patient.
We offer a full-range of cardiovascular surgery procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting, repair and replacement of heart valves, repair of select congenital heart defects, surgical correcton of atrial fibrillation, and major aortic surgery. Our surgeons specialize in off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, cardiac surgery in high risk patients, and surgical repair of aortic dissections and thoracic aortic aneurysms.
Our surgeons specialize in surgical treatment of the aorta including repair of aortic dissections, aortic aneurysms, and aortic injuries related to trauma. We also offer nonsurgical repair of aortic aneurysms - endovascular stenting of the aorta - for patients who meet the specified criteria.
Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP)
EECP is a non-surgical treatment for people with coronary artery disease and chest pain (angina). For many patients, medications alone are not enough to control symptoms of angina. When medication is not enough and surgery is too risky, EECP can be an alternative to enhance circulation for patients who need of treatment.
Cardiac Medical Intermediate Care Unit
The Cardiac Medical Intermediate Care Unit (CMIC) specializes in the treatment of heart attacks, severe heart failure, and heart rhythm problems in a progressive, cardiovascular intensive care setting.
Our Telemetry Unit specializes in Cardiac and Renal Care. Services include patient evaluation for coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, heart rhythm problems, and other heart and renal diseases.
The Echocardiography Laboratory, Nuclear Cardio Imaging Laboratory, and ECG Laboratory offer a full range of ECG monitoring and noninvasive imaging services.
