Guilford
G. Hartley, M.D., is a board-certified
specialist in internal medicine. He is a member of both the American
College of Physicians and the North American Association for the
Study of Obesity.
Dr.
Hartley conducts initial evaluation of gastric-bypass candidates
and provides comprehensive follow-up care.

Howard
Lederer, M.D., is a board-certified general surgeon
who went on to complete a yearlong fellowship at the University
of Minnesota in Bariatric Surgery.
Dr.
Lederer is among the first fellowship-trained bariatric surgeons
in the country. His practice is dedicated to both minimally invasive
(laparoscopic) bariatric surgery as well as complex and revisional
bariatric surgical procedures.

Donald
M. Jacobs, M.D., is a board-certified general
surgeon who founded the Bariatric Surgery Program at Hennepin. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Surgeon
Member of the International Bariatric (Obesity) Surgical Registry.

Jon
C. Krook, MD, is board certified in general surgery,
and his special interests include minimally invasive bariatric
surgery and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He is also an
adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota Medical
School.
Prior to joining HCMC,
he was instrumental in developing Saint Mary's Duluth Clinic's
bariatric program.
Dr. Krook is a graduate
of the University of Minnesota Medical School who completed his
residency at Michigan State University.

Kipton
Lundquist, M.D., is board-certified in Plastic
Surgery. His practice focuses on the areas of cosmetic surgery
and liposuction, as well as on breast surgery and scar revision.
He is a member of the
American Academy of Plastic Surgeons, the Midwestern Association
of Plastic Surgeons, the Academy of Plastic Surgeons, the American
College of Physician Executives, and many other professional organizations.

George
Peltier, M.D., is board-certified in Plastic Surgery
and is a Fellow of the American College of Plastic Surgeons. His
major interests are in the areas of reconstructive surgery and
body contouring, as well as skin cancer and burn surgery.
Dr. Peltier is also
a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Minnesota
Association of Plastic Surgeons, the Midwestern Association of
Plastic Surgeons, and the Lipoplasty Society of North America.

Our
nutritionists are registered dietitians who conduct nutritional
evaluations of weight-loss candidates. They educate surgery patients
on the post-operative diet, and provide on-going counseling to promote
long-term weight maintenance.

Susan Nicol, Ph.D., L.P. is a clinical psychologist who performs evaluations of potential surgery patients and, when appropriate, provides or coordinates further psychological care.
