The new unit also features:

  • Three rooms where parents can sleep overnight to be close to their infants.
  • A playroom to keep siblings entertained.
  • A special mother's room for nursing.
  • The Kayla Murphy NBICU Family Resource Room.

The Kayla Murphy Newborn ICU Family Resource Room is a place parents can go to watch videos or read books or pamphlets on topics including prematurity, newborn illnesses, child care, growth and development, and loss and grieving.
