The Labor and Delivery staff strives to provide specialized services specific to each patient's needs for both routine and complicated pregnancies. We offer family-centered maternity care, doulas are available to provide labor support to any mom who desires it, and we make every effort to meet the special needs of our diverse community. Interpreters are available to our patients. Our cesarean section rate is one of the lowest in the metropolitan area. Each year, more than 2,600 babies are born at HCMC!
The Birth Center at HCMC brings all childbirth services together in one comprehensive center. Labor and Delivery is located just seconds away from the Level III Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NBICU). The NBICU staff can be present at any delivery within moments. Perinatologists, obstetricians, neonatologists, pediatricians, and anesthesiologists are always on call to help mothers if needed.
